PRIVACY POLICY

Shop For Skylights (shopforskylights.com) respects the rights of consumers to privacy. We only have access to collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. Accordingly, we have instituted policies intended to ensure that your personal information is handled in a safe and responsible manner. Shop For Skylights (shopforskylights.com) does not sell, donate or in any way provide consumer's personal information to any entity. In order to provide consumers with local support and service, contact information may be provided to service providers who are located in consumer's geographical locale at the consumers request.

 

SHIPPING & DELIVERY

• We currently can only ship to the USA fifty (50) states and Washington D.C. We cannot ship international countries.
• Orders are typically processed Monday through Friday except on major holidays.
• All standard stock items take approximately 3-5 business days for delivery once processed. Delivery times vary on non-standard stock items.
• Expedited shipping is currently not available.

 

RETURNS & REFUNDS

• We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee, less the original cost of shipping and a 25% re-stocking fee. No returns will be accepted after 30 days.
• Returns are not accepted on special order units.
• Returns are not accepted on Velux blinds.
• Returns are not accepted on orders with factory installed Velux blinds.
• All items must be unused, uninstalled and in original packaging.
• Cost of return shipping is the sole responsibility of the customer. Insurance is strongly suggested due to the frequency of items damaged in shipping.
• No refund will be issued if product is deemed unable to be resold by the manufacturer.
• A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number must be requested prior to the return of the item.
• Requests must be made by phone or text directly with a sales representative with either your order number or full name & original purchase date.
• Refunds for cancelled orders after the credit card is processed will have a 3% fee as our merchant partners do not refund our fees.
• Refunds will be processed once we receive credit from the manufacturer. Please allow a minimum of 6-8 weeks for a refund.
• Any orders that are returned without receiving prior authorization from Shop For Skylights (shopforskylights.com) will void our return policy and no refund will be given. This includes refusing orders upon delivery or undelivered orders due to improper information provided to us by you (the customer).

 

DAMAGED / LOST PRODUCT

This is a quick checklist to give you an overview, but please be sure to read the full Damage policy HERE.

All orders have the option to add shipping insurance on the checkout page, WE strongly advise adding the insurance option, We will not be responsible for any products damaged / Lost in transit with no shipping insurance.

If you receive a product that was damaged in shipping, defective, missing parts, or that is not the product you ordered, please contact us at sales@shopforskylights.com as soon as possible with prodografic evidence (pictures)
so that we may arrange a replacement or credit.

Upon receiving your shipment, please inspect your materials promptly and report any damages or missing items to us immediately.

• For all ground deliveries ALWAYS INSPECT YOUR SHIPMENT PROMPTLY AND REPORT ANY DAMAGED OR MISSING ITEMS TO US WITHIN TWO (2) BUSINESS DAYS! We cannot provide reimbursement or solutions of any kind if issues are not reported within two (2) business days, no exceptions.

• For all LTL (freight) deliveries you must be present to sign for your shipment. ALWAYS INSPECT YOUR SHIPMENT AT DELIVERY AND REPORT ANY DAMAGED OR MISSING ITEMS WHEN SIGNING THE BILL OF LADING! We cannot file a claim on your behalf or offer reimbursement of any kind if it is not documented on the Bill of Lading, no exceptions.

 

CHANGING & CANCELING ORDERS

• Most orders are processed very quickly so that we can deliver your items as soon as possible. Once an order has been shipped it cannot be modified.
• Call us immediately at 402-450-5641 if you need to update your unshipped order.
• All cancelled orders after the credit card is processed will have a 3% fee as our processors don't refund their fees to us.
• Cancellations must be made by phone directly with a Shop For Skylights (shopforskylights.com) representative.
Please have your order number and the order name ready.
• If your order has been shipped prior to the cancellation, please follow the Return Policy guidelines listed above.
• Any orders that are returned without receiving prior authorization from Shop For Skylights (shopforskylights.com) will void our return policy and no refund will be given. This includes refusing orders upon delivery or undelivered orders due to improper information provided to us by you (the customer).

 

VELUX WARRANTY INFORMATION

• 20 year limited warranty on Velux insulated glass.
• 10 year "No Leak" installation limited warranty on deck mount and curb mount skylights when installed according to Velux guidelines.
• 10 year limited warranty on roof windows, skylights, Sun Tunnel skylights, solar collectors and flashing.
• 5 year limited warranty on Velux blinds and controls.
• 20 year limited warranty on Sun Tunnel rigid tunnels.
• 10 year limited warranty on Velux acrylic clarity.
• 5 year limited warranty on Velux acrylic and polycarbonate skylights
• 5 year limited warranty on solar water heating system tanks and components

 

REDILIGHT WARRANTY INFORMATION

In addition to guarantees afforded under United States Consumer Law we provide a warranty of:

7-year warranty on Redilight Skyfixtures (solar LED Light fittings).
5-year warranty on Redilight ‘SPECTRA’ and ‘ORSOM’ Drivers.
5-year warranty on all Redilight approved parts and accessories.
12-month warranty on Redilight remote control handset
Solar Panels - 5-year warranty on materials and workmanship, 10 years 90% of rated output,
20 years 80% power output.

The warranty period starts from the date of the purchase of the Product. Sustainable Global Marketing warrants that each product will be free from defects in material and workmanship. If a product fails to operate, Sustainable Global Marketing shall provide free replacement of the failed product subject to the warranty policy and limited warranty terms and conditions set forth below.

1. The limited warranty only applies when the product has been properly wired, installed, and operatedwithin the electrical values, operating range, environmental conditions provided in the product specifications, application guidelines and other document provided by Sustainable Global Marketing.

2. The limited warranty is void if the product is not used for the purpose for which it has been designed.

3. The limited warranty is void if any external products that are not approved by Sustainable Global Marketing are used in conjunction with the Redilight system.

4. This warranty does not apply to damages or defects arising because of abuse, improper power supply, misuse, abnormal use or use in violation of any applicable standard, code and instructions.

5.The warranty shall be void in the event of any repairs or alterations made to the product by any personnot duly authorized by Sustainable Global Marketing in writing.

6. If the Product is purchased from a Redilight authorized dealer, the Warranty claim must be reported to the Redilight authorized dealer (the original place of purchase) first.

All warranty periods mentioned are subject to a Redilight representative having access to the failed products or systems for verification. Warranty Claims must be reported to Sustainable Global Marketing or a Redilight authorized dealer within 30 days after the discovery, specifying at least the following information:

Detailed problem descriptions which include photo, video (on request) or other proofs i.e.

Invoice, application, and operating environment.

Our normal prosessing time is 3 business days however processing may take longer dependant on the time it takes funds to clear.
Product we'll only be released after funds have cleared. If you are not comfortable with the processing time PLEASE don't order.
